Closed-Cell Spray Polyurethane Foam (ccSPF) has many benefits to traditional insulation. It can give your home or metal building high R-value thermal insulation, good acoustical performance, as well as reduced uncontrolled air infiltration, which can improve your indoor air quality. It can be used on both new constructions or renovations.
In metal buildings, ccSPF essentially "glues" the assembly together, reducing the potential for movement while also providing a secondary barrier against water and moisture intrusion. Since it is applied as a liquid then expands up to 30 times its original volume, it effectively seals hard to reach cracks and crevices. It can adhere to metals, woods, masonry, and more.
The physical properties of ccSPF do not decline significantly with time, but instead retain their air-sealing, insulating, and strengthening characteristics for the effective life of your building!
